is she egg bound?

i think my girl is egg bound. she is 6 months old and started laying about a month ago. today she hasn’t ate much of her feed, but i did give her a big bowl of mealworms which she ate. i also gave her a couple egg shells. she wasn’t really playing when she was in the pool, just preening. and she is laying down a lot. anyway i can tell if she is actually egg bound?

If she were egg bound she would be lethargic with her feathers puffed out... she may also squat and pump her tail up and down a lot (kind of like when we strain when constipated).

Is she straining, what signs is she sowing of being egg bound? To tell, you can stick a clean lubricated finger up her bum 1-2 inches and see if you feel an egg.

she is sitting down a lot. any other way to tell, i definitely don’t want to do that

I am assuming she isn't laying, how hot is it where you are? I she is laying down a lot, do yo check your ducks for bumblefoot? My duck wa slaying down a lot and I didn't really think much of it until i checked for bumble foot and she had it.

it was like 90° all day and 82° now that it’s night. i check them once a week so i don’t think so but i’ll make sure to check to see if that could be it.
