Is she starting to go broody?

Hi. One of our 2 Orpington buffs has been acting a bit odd. She's very jumpy which is new, but really crouches if you go up to her. Her comb is really bright red, her appetite is good and she active. However, she has not laid for a couple of days and follows our other Orpie into the nesting box and sits with her, but doesn't lay. There are no signs of straining or struggling to pass and egg.

When her pal comes out, so does she.

We've had broody hybrids before, but they didn't act like this.

Anyone got any ideas?

Many thanks,

Chris

If she is broody, she will sit on the nest and puff up her feathers when you go near. She will also be clucking pretty much all the time.
