Me and my husband purchased an asst. Of banties from hatchery about last fall
and got 2 splash silkies.
One we knew was hen cause she sit on some wooden eggs we put in nest in pen for
Broody orpington hen and wod peck at other chickens wen they wod come near.
She got played to death by our Great Pyrenee/Australian Sheperd puppy.
The second one we are not so sure about. We have never seen it sit on nest or lay egg
Or hear it crow. Its beak is very crooked. Cod that keep it from crowing if it were rooster?
I seen it jump off side of nest that had egg in it but didn't actually see it lay one. Click on img
