Is something wrong with my duck

OK so I have a 1 year old mallard duck, but his head won't turn green. Only the top of his head is green and a little way down his neck is green to. Is something wrong because i have done research and other people say that their mallards heads turned green in the first 4-6 months. I have also considered that it might be a rouen but their head are green to.

Is he a mature Drake? Is it possible he could be a mix? I don't know about ducks either but, I am sure this won't affect his health. You've been given the link for the duck threads, they are much better qualified to render an opinion on this.

I agree with @drumstick diva, sounds like your drake may be crossed with something. Either way, I doubt it is health related.
