Is strutting just a guy thing?

I have four poults, about 5 weeks old or so. I have one that I thought was a "she" - very sweet, just a tiny nub on her head. Well, yesterday when I sat down to visit, "Dot" came running over and just before she jumped on my lap held her wings out and spread her tail feathers (what little she has). Please tell me she's just a little confused and not a tom!

the hens will strut as well, they just can't or don't hold it as long as a tom does.

I have two 6 weeks olds and I have been posting pictures on an earlier thread asking am I a boy or a girl. You might want to look at my pictures. When they were 4 weeks old I posted pix and asked and people said you have two hens then I posted the 6 week olds puffing themselves up and I swear I would think they were a boy a couple people said they look like toms. Then some people will post you wont really know until later. Go good luck I so much want to have at least one tom but will love which ever they are. they are such sweeties. Good Luck with yours.
