Is Sugar an EE Hen or a Roo? *lots of pics - more added*

Okay... I've been wavering between roo and hen for a while now, and finally settled on hen. She's 10 weeks old. I posted a small picture of her earlier and everyone thought Sugar was a hen. But, I still wonder now because her comb is much redder than her hatch sisters (and starting to get a little lumpy) and shes bigger, with thicker legs and a tail. I know there's a lot of variety in EEs so maybe she's just a big gal. I really want an EE roo and was really glad when a fellow BYC'r had one to spare. But since that lovely boy is coming on August 1, I want to make sure Sugar isn't going to actually turn out to be ... SugarRay.

Anyone have any thoughts?

Sugar - in hot pursuit of another chicken with a worm *cries at her dead grass in WA State*

Profile Shot - I'm totally in love with this chicken. She's my favorite.

Side view - Thankfully a house guest is holding her so I can get some good close ups. So what do you all think? I've gotten a lot of roos this year.. of six RIRs 2 turned out to be Roos, of two BAs I got one roo, so I'm sorta surprised I didn't get an EE roo too with my seven.

Thanks in advance!

that is most likely a cockerel. to be that red at ten weeks is not pullet-like at all. Sugar-Ray maybe so.

(hens and roos are over a year old. pullet and cockerel under a year)

*laughs* I'm really glad, in some secret demented place in my mind, that I'm not getting a string of 'definite pullets' or 'definite cockerel' because I've felt so silly about this ongoing internal mental debate (not to mention my DH laughing daily when I announce a change of mind!). My BA Roo Ziggy was obvious at about three weeks. My RIRs were obvious at six weeks... but darn it all these EEs are hard to tell! I notice details about things quickly, but her florescent red comb and size is just so different... but she doesn't act like any of my other roos. Argh! We need an EE expert!

ee's are tricky, tricky, tricky! that comb is very red. my ee cockerel was very tiny and he has turned into a handsome boy.

solid white until maturation. small comb and wattles until he was 15 weeks, but red as could be.

i'd like to see a picture of the chicken's hackle feathers.
