Is the broodiest broodies still silkies?

Or did that get bred out of them to? Im over this bator life ..only when eggs are due does the power go out for no reason. So wanna get silkies next year from tsc when they are $1 but no sure if those ones go broody anymore. Last time I bought them they didnt even have crest anymore.
 
Wait. TS sells silkies?!? ❤️❤️❤️ I had to pay like 60 bucks to order them from California 😭🤦‍♀️❤️🤣 Yes silkies are one the broodiest breeds, if not the broodiest. That doesn't mean that your hen will be, but if you get a couple, you will definitely have a broody hen.
 
TSC carries both regular silkies and broiler silkies. The broilers get as big as leghorns. Do not have crest and have very little leg feathering. The normal silkies still go broody and make good mothers. Large fowl Cochins are excellent broodies and can cover more eggs than silkies can.

For $60 i hope those where show quality lol tsc sell just ugly looking silkies but none the less silkies lol i use to have them and they hatched 6 goose eggs I have chocolate wyandottes now and they went broody twice but i want a breed that will sit in the winter to.
