Is the meat on a sick bird safe to eat?

One of our Cornish cross broilers has bees pooping a lot and it is white and runny. I think the bird is sick. Should we butcher it now, or will it heal? Also, is the meat safe to eat?

If wormy, maybe okay. If actually ill, not.

It depends on weather the sickness is localized or generalized. We just had bird with what looked to be a cardiac effusion. We're chose not to through him out but we did throw away the heart. It did explain why he was the runt of the litter.
