So do they always or almost always pip on the top where you can see it or do they do the bottom and act like a ninja?

I just finished my first hatch. Most of mine pipped on the top. The one that pipped on the bottom also had to have help getting out. I hatched Guineas, and the initial pip looked like a tiny thin crack at first, some were barely noticible, and then it became an X or cross shaped crack, then they would start cracking around the egg and chunks of shell fell off as they hatched. I shined a flash light on mine through the incubator window to make seeing the pips easier. GOOD LUCK!!!!
