I have been having a few chicks hatching today (day 19) and all of the sudden when i chick came out and started chirping the rest decided to pip. 2 where out and healthy, 1 i had to help out because he was to big for his egg and he is healthy but 1 started to zip and then quit so i thought maybe he needed some help too, i got my tweezers, ect. back out and off i went to help this chick out. When i first started getting more of the shell off i noticed his head was shaped a little weird but figured i cant stop now so kept working away and once i got him out i noticed his yolk sack wasnt completely absorbed.. and there was blood even though i hadnt poked him or anythign that i am aware of. I put him back in the incubators with the others and he is just laying there. (breathing at least) but he isnt really moving.. Was he just not developed enough and he decided early that it was time to start to pip and zip? I would not have done this if he hadnt of started zipping and then quit. I really hope he makes it. Has anyone else had an "early bird"?
