Is the rooster a Rhode Island Red?

no way his type is nothing like an Rhode Island Red, their backs should be long and their tail horizontal and a very promonant keel, he has none of these things. the only thing that resembles an Rhode Island Red is his color and that isn't even very good, light areas at the tips of his wings etc

He is what hatcheries call Rhode Island Red. Of course, he isn't even close to true bred type, color, body shape, etc, but he is what hatcheries sell as a Rhode Island Red. Mostly, to make the differentiation, they are known as production type reds.
