Our local feed store sold DH two EEs on 6/25, so they're now approximately 7 1/2 weeks old. On Monday a gentleman dropped off what are supposed to be 2 month old BSLs. My girls are half the size of the new pullets. Are my EEs lagging in development, or would a week and a half really make this much of a difference in size?

The BSL look the right size for their age. Could your EE`s be a bantie crosss?

The thought that they are banties ran through my mind, but I really wanted everyone's opinions. The feed store ordered them through a mail-order hatchery, so it's possible they clicked on the banties by accident.

They are very pretty and look healthy. Maybe you could post a full body photo of both of them and someone with bantam experience could give you an opinion.

My ees I got from the feedstore this year are really tiny too. I know they order from whelp. I don't know what the deal is.

EE differ greatly in size. I have 4 that are the same exact age, and one is literally more that twice the size of the smallest. One is HUGE and one is TINY.

Your BSL look the right size and development for 2 months. I thnk it is more likely that your EE`s are a bantam cross.
