Is there a cheap, small-ish 'bator out there?

you still have it? That is so cool! How is it working for you and do you still have the hygrometer? Lots of luck and keep me updated

The Big Rs in Spokane have them, as does the other major feed/farm supply. You should be fine as far as finding one.

Save yourself some time, energy and disappointment. If you can save your money and purchase a Hovabator 1588 from GQF you will be more than pleased with the end results. There isn't any guess work. The thermostat is preset and it has a fan. You can later get a turner and add it for a really reliable set up that won't let you down in performance.

I have 3 of them running now. The temps don't flunctuate and they are stable environments when you get the humidity set. You can go several days and not need to open it to add water. The less messing with the eggs you do the better the outcome of the hatch.

totally agree with your statement. My brower has a turner and fan to eliminate hand turning and hot spots. I had a better hatch rate with it then my old bator.

Missy, I found a 1583, but not a 1588, do you have a link for that model. Thanks.

The 1583 is about $100 that would be doable for me. Do you think that the turner from my little giant foam incubator would fit it? Does anyone know?

I found the 1588 on ebay for $115 with shipping but no turner. If I can use my turner, I would not have to buy another one. That would be great. Is this much better than what I have (little giant still air) or should I save a little more money and go up another step??
Sorry, did not mean to hijack the thread.

The 1588 is top of the line compared to a basic LG LOL You will be very happy with it. I only buy direct from the manufacturer - GQF , because they have excellent customer service and they replace their products no questions asked when you buy direct. I am not sure about the ebay sellers. The cost is $115 from GQF and I don't know what shipping to you would be.

Thanks. I wonder if they would be offended if I asked them if my turner would work? May have to just ask anyway. Save a little money.

Thanks so much.

Marie
