Is there a place to get hens vs chicks?

I'm looking for a place to get started hens. I've combed Facebook groups and Craigslist. I'm on the south coast of MA.

Strange. Around here in MD there are lots of people on Craigslist selling adult birds, pullets, or chicks. Even the local farm store always has fliers. And that's a major city. Good luck. Maybe something will pop up.

That's funny .I just sold a really nice starter flock of cross-bred light Sussex Leghorn birds at a very very deep discount and took a big loss cuz I couldn't find anybody want to buy it here in Western Pennsylvania .so keep looking .look, what you can do is pick the breed you want. then go to the breed club website. look in the Breeders directory for breeders in your area. start calling the Breeders . they're getting ready to downsize their flocks for overwintering and should have some nice started Birds available. you'll pay a little more for started birds but it'll be a lot less than what it would have cost you to raise them yourself.
