I have always thrown black sunflower seeds in the run and for the most part they peck here and there but this spring they have been eating them like crazy. Any idea why?
Here's a quick vid. This may not seem like much to you but to me this is far and above the way they normally eat something as mundane as seeds. Throw some tuna or rice in there and that's another story but seeds just never seemed to excite them.
Anyway, they say they eat what they need. I guess their bodies are telling them they need something in these seeds, am I right?
