Is there a thermostat for hard-wired heat lights?

I do not think that a light bulb harms the chickens.. I have a 60 or a 100 watt bulb on 24/7 during the winter..
chickens have to have at least 14 hours of light per day in order to lay eggs.. My chickens go to roost when it gets dark outside with or without the light.. I have been doing this for about 40 years..my chickens do not seem stressed..
I have some 4 years old and still laying eggs ..

I do not know how a red bulb would work.. I only use red for young chicks to keep them from pecking at each other..
