Hello again!
I am having difficulty with one of the chickens whether it is a hen or rooster. I have enclosed a pic showing two roosters on the left but the barred rock on the right I am not so sure. I am taking the two roosters to another home for breeding and I was going to throw the other one in if it is a male. Is there anyone that can help me? I can tell you that if it is a rooster, it hasn't started crowing yet and the other roosters are mounting it. This is a now or never move so I will need to know before tomorrow. Any help will be appreciated!

Another thing, if you have just one rooster on the property, will he crow less? I have both roosters crowing all the time, and I am really attached to one of them. I would hate to get rid of both of them if the crowing would slow down. My husband's clients asked if we live on a farm because they could hear the roosters over the phone. We had a neighbor from across the cove of the lake said they have been trying to figure out who had the roosters because they could hear them. That was a pretty long ways!

If there is only one rooster the crowing will quiet down a bit. When there are multiple roosters they challenge each other to see who has the loudest crow.
