I need the protocol for treating Cocci. I gave my hen 2 ml of Corid in a quart of water last night along with 1 tsp of electrolites. I put medicated chick starter in a little bowl. She has drank almost all of the water and not ate much of the food. She is secluded in a isolation cage. She looks better this morning. Do I give yogurt now or wait until Corid treatment is over? I treat with Corid for five days? Do I offer other food in order to bring her weight up? How many days in isolation? Does she need a round of antibiotics? Vitamins? Is there a thread with this protocol and I just can't find it or can someone give the protocol. TIA

I read the whole thread, but still have some questions as things were unclear. Do I put it in her food or just the water? Do I need to treat the whole flock or just the sick one? Do I give probiotic mix while treating with Corid in water?

I believe the cocci is spread by one chick getting it from the soil and is then passed to the rest of the flock by drinking out of the same watering system. So it is recomended to treat the whole flock. I am still unclear about the medicated feed and the medicated water. I have never used the medicated feed, so I just used the meds in the water. Tahat being said, the sulmet that I purchased from Southern States was for adding to water.
I will say I do have one this morning that is a bit sluggish and sleepy acting, so I think all in all my flock has progressed to a better state of health.
