Is there a way to help a chick with a broken leg? Happy pic update!

Thanks! He mostly lies down now but we're thinking it's a sprain so hopefully he'll be okay. And I know nothing about building a lego chair.

Good luck!

Another member, melbel had posted about a chair they made from legos to help a chick who didn't have the use of one leg. I hope they'll post some pics or instructions! If I ever need something like that maybe my grandson would donate his skill and some legos! Anyway, the lego chair sounds intriguing! Good luck to you as well!

Updated to say that the chick is now 2 weeks old and doing fine. I hardly ever catch him laying down, and today he enjoyed taking a dust bath.

I'll post pics once they feather out. Thanks for all the support you guys I think he's going to be fine.

u should also put he/she in a sepporate box or coop or whtever and let him/her get his/her food and water!

Okay, thanks! I really didn't do anything because I didn't know what to do so I just waited it out and now you barely notice him. He's in with the others, and can get around easily and without a limp so I guess he'll be okay. I probably should have done something but I guess I was really lucky because I think it healed on it's own. Oh well, I guess I'll keep you guys posted on how he turns out!

Okay you guys, here is the chick we have been helping this whole time! He has healed, and now you wouldn't notice he ever had and injury.

This is what I've got them in.

Thanks you guys, he looks like he'll be just fine. He's feathering a lot slower than his hatchmate, who I think is a boy due to his comb. Do you think the black chick might be a slow feathering pullet? I'm hoping for a girl.

Yay! Thanks, we named her "Crip", even though she can walk fine.

The other one's name is Pip. Is pip a boy?
Edited to say that Pip's mom was a cornish cross so he will be bigger and stockier either way.

Adorable pictures! Very glad your chick is doing better! Looks like he's recovering very well. Our hen, not so much. Seems like her mobility is becoming more difficult now. The cycle of life marches on. Looking forward to more of your updates and pictures!
