Is there a way to improve my chances of having a friendly roo?

Thanks all for the tips. I hate to cull my beautiful roo, but I'm really tired of all these stabs and scrapes on my legs, and he bites! That is definitely a first for me! Think I'll try a new roo in the spring.

I have to also put in a good word for the silkie roos out there. I have a silkie roo that I cuddled with when he was a baby. I don't pick him up to cuddle now, but that is only because he runs from me...haha. He's been crowing/mating for a few months now and he still eats out of my hand and has never been aggressive toward a person. I had another silkie roo that was ALWAYS flying up to sit on our laps and sleep while we pet him. I had to give him away though because the roos started fighting.

So, my experience with silkie roos has been great so far!!
