Is there a way to remove/fix sun bleached feathers?

So our rooster is a light sussex who prefers hanging out in the full sun part of his coop 🙈
He now has straw coloured feathers mostly in his top saddle feathers.
Is there a way to fix it? As in a trick to wash it out or will he stay straw coloured until he moults again 😫
He literally finished moulting a month ago and now show season is upon us.
If it's un fixable so be it, lesson learnt for next year to keep him out of the direct sun after his moult

Anything that's out in the sun for an extended period of time kind of gets "washed out". Like if you have a chair sitting by a window, or the backside of curtains. Human hair also lightens with the onset of warm weather and there really isn't anything you can do about it after you've been out. Only time spent in the shade and indoors will help the color to return, but I wouldn't expect for it to happen in just a few weeks.

That's alright thankyou!
He has decided he will just show him in the junior section this year.
He put him in the junior section last week and won overall junior champion but the judge specifically came over to him and said he'd of won overall soft feather large champion in the open section. 🤣 next year

I will have to get a nice one 😂 he is currently away at a show. Picking him and his girls up tonight.
We plan to enter him in a sussex feature show next month to see how he compares to like competition.
I must say I've noticed a sharp decline in the number of large soft feather and hard feather Cockerals and Cocks at shows over the past 2 years. We only really started showing this year ourselves.

Oh, really!? That's interesting! I've never done show birds before, but I have to ask if they're harder to take care of? And do you make a significant amount of money from winning? I've started to think that it'd be neat to take a shot at!

They aren't really any harder to take care of, other than our show birds are on a better feed (because they can't free range in show season) they are also locked up with deep litter to keep their feet clean between shows.
If we have 2 shows a week apart they will stay in their show crates for a week to avoid washing their feathers too often. But, we try to do 2-3 weeks between shows 🙂
I wouldn't say you make a lot of money, most times it costs more for show entry, entry fees ect. then what you make in prize money.
Occasionally we win a bag of feed, which is nice! But, yea my son does it for the experience.
He can talk to other people who give him the time of day to discuss what needs to be improved in his breed or a quicker way to clean/keep clean feathers/feet.

Interesting! So not worth it profit wise, bit definitely experience wise!
