Is there a way to tell the age of an older chicken?

… there are significant differences between young, mature and ancient... Sadly many folks are willing to take advantage of others....

This reminds me of a recent post where someone put up a picture of a cock bird with 4" long spurs and said that the chicken breeder that sold this old fellow to the greenhorn told our greenhorn poster that the bird was hatched this year.

The truth is that if you cooked this rooster up for Thanksgiving Dinner you better bring your chain saw to the table to carve up this turkey chicken.
