Is there an age limit for backyardchickens?

I know a lot of apps and sites want people to be 13 before they can sign up. Just wondering if backyardchickens wants peeps to be a certain age before joining the flock or if they welcome all ages.

No,it's definitely not a stupid question!! byc is a family-friendly ,no flames ,no cursing site . it's G-rated and we welcome chicken people
However, one needs to be over 13 to register and take part in byc.

Not a stupid question at all but yes you need to be at least 13 to join and participate here on BYC. Minors are also asked not reveal their age on open forum. This is to keep themselves safe whilst online and is a top priority of staff members. We love having everyone here and keepingeveryine safe is paramount.

Yes, I corrected(gently) a new young member the other day. She had posted her age and I asked her to go back and delete it and why.
