A week ago I received 20 SLW chicks but noticed that about half of them are about 30% larger than the other half. Would separating the groups by size help the smaller ones have a better access to food? They have 40 to 50 inches of eating room around a single feeder now but they all seem to prefer to eat from one side.

Thanks,

Craig

I dont think it would. Some chicks just take longer to grow than others. I believe you dont need to split them up. Just make sure there is enough food for everyone.

x2 - Be sure there's enough food for everyone.

I'd still watch them. If you notice the smaller ones are not getting food, then

you need to seperate them. As long as no ones getting trampled, no ones getting

beat up, and everyones getting food & water, they should all live just fine together:)
