Is there any possible way for a Black Sex-Link hen to be barred?

I never thought about it until today. Five years ago, when I got my batch of three Black Sex-Links and three Red Sex-Links, one of the Black Sex-Links turned out to be barred. I didn't know much about chickens then, so didn't think about it being a rooster. Unfortunately, it died, so I don't have any barred pics. However, she/he didn't have any white when it was a chick. Completely black. It wasn't completely barred either, just dark barring on the back. It was very docile as well, and the comb was the same size as the others, who turned out to be hens.

I don't think so, the spot may not have been directly in top if the head, but could have been dropped down on the back of the head near the neck.

Or, they may have messed up and put in a barred rock that jump the divider.

Where did the chicks come from? There could have been some kind of breeding mix-up and the chick could have been a 2nd generation BSL (BSL rooster X BSL hen). Sometimes this kind of mistake happens when the breeder doesn't realize that sex links will not breed true. A sex-linked rooster X a sex-linked hen will not produce sex-linked offspring.

That could be. I never thought of that, thanks. I just bought them from the Country Store in town. Red Sex-Links turned out fine, but then again, my other two Black Sex-Links didn't turn out right either. One looked like a Black Australorp with the broad shape and brown eyes, while the other had white speckles instead of gold. Both came from those completely black chicks. Here are the pics, unfortunately, I don't have one of the barred one:
