BUG NAMED FRED
Brandon Clark and Caleb Newsome Trenton Ga.

This is a story about a bug named Fred
played chicken with a cab and now he's dead.
Pour Fred's life ends with a smear.
Everythings flat except for his rear.

Back when he was young, he ran out of luck
went to sleep in the back of a truck. .
When that truck started to creep
poor Fred was still asleep.

This is a story about a bug named Fred
played chicken with a cab and now he's dead.
Pour Fred's life ends with a smear.
Everythings flat except for his rear.

The truck went to New York City
Fred jumped out with little pity
Found himself on Fifth Avenue
poor Fred didn't know what to do.

This is a story about a bug named Fred
played chicken with a cab and now he's dead.
Pour Fred's life ends with a smear.
Everythings flat except for his rear.

across the street he saw a phone
He wanted badly to call back Home.
he crossed the street without much haste.
Poor Fred -- his life -- oh-what a waste.

This is a story about a bug named Fred
played chicken with a cab and now he's dead.
Pour Fred's life ends with a smear.
Everythings flat except for his rear.

He didn't see the cab bearing down
the people gathered all around.
Fred lay flat down on the street
and he was stamped by their old feet.

Catesby Jones ( http://www.catesbyjones.com/ writer of Travis Tritt's platinum-selling hit “Country Club” ) an Marty sang this song live in Nashville years ago.... It got a standing ovation.

Walking days
Marty Abercrombie

While walking down the street one night
I saw an old man standing under the street light
His clothes were ragged, tattered and torn
He looked at me all forlorn.

CHORUS
I walk on by but fall to see
all the people who desperately need me
Troubled people everywhere
But I'm too busy with my own life to care.

While walking down the street one night
I saw a young girl standing under the street light
Her face was painted—her lips were mad
I turn my head and I feel sad

CHORUS

While walkin' down the street one night
I see a drug dealer under the light
He sells death to those who buy
I walk on past but then I sigh.

CHORUS

While walking down the street one night
an abortion clinic is lit up bright
a place where babies are put to death
before they are allowed to take a breath.

Bridge

These are walkin' days—walkin' days for you and me
walking days for us all.

CHORUS

While I was walkin' down my dreams one night I saw myself under the street light.

I can do that for Pollyana and The 8 Melodies. I'm trying to do that for Weird Al's White and Nerdy and the fan song Brooklyn Rage.

Even better when ya think, it came from the mind of a small town 7th grader in March of 1992.

I get lots of requests to sing "So Far Away"solo. So far away and so low they can't hear me.
