Is there any truth to this humidty?

Ok I lowered humidty to about 65 and had 8 eggs in bator (got them from tofuranch) 6 out of 8 hatched between last night and this morning, and I have not gave up on last two yet! So I think that I had a much better hatch, normally I would have hatched 2 out of 8!
This is great, I have more hatching Wensday and I hope to do this good or better again! Very good news becuase I just put Araucana eggs in bator!

I wont trust the LG with those!

I dont believe it at all. Today I hatched a mix of 17 RIR and Black sex links. Out of the 10 sex links 8 are roosters. I dry incubate and the humidity runs between 25-40 depending on the outside rh.

I dont know what sex I hatched but I do know that my hatch rate was better!
I think my humidty was to high and proably drowning my chicks as for the sex thing I have to go with what I belived to begin with, the chick will die or live no matter what sex, I think I just notice high rates of roos becuase those are the ones I dont really need!

Under hens or in an incubator this was my year of the roo. I did hatch almost a hundred chicks. Just about 70% roo. I know, I kept every hen to grow out to at least four months.

and sold just about 70 male birds from the sale and cull records. Lost five before I knew their sex. Some groups ran 80%, some 50%. In fact incubation fared slightly better than broody hatched in that regard.

But five silkies, 3 roos.
Sizzles, seven, 5 roos.
The turkeys ran about even.
The partridge rocks ran roo heavily.
The barred rocks, BR mixes heavily roo.
The Australorp, Barred rock, frighteningly rooster heavy, of 12 two were pullets.

I apologize to whatever I ticked off to have a year like that... Really.
