Is there any way I can make them hatch faster?

My eggs went on lockdown yesterday and have been rocking sense. How long until they pip? Is there any way I can make them hatch faster? I haven't even heard a peep!

Find something to do away from home for about six to eight hours. That's about the only thing you can do. Sorry! lol It's SOOOO hard waiting.

And don't forget...sometimes they hatch a little later..one of mine went 25 days.

They pip to get air, but then they aren't necessarily ready to leave the shell yet- they take several hours to pull their blood in from the membrane that surrounds them while growing into their bodies, and also to pull the remaining yolk into their abdomen for a few days' sustenance.

If you try to help them, they will either bleed profusely or to death, and they will likely not be done with yolk absorption, so they won't survive that!

It's very hard to sit on your hands while they take their time, and sometimes they don't make it out- those babies wouldn't be quite right usually, anyway. Curiositycat is right: It's important to go away! Come back to new babies!

well I still have no pips-just rocking. I will be up until at least twelve but I will try to stay as far away from the bator as possible.
