Is there any way to tell if i have hatched a call duck.

Were all your Ducks together ?.....Could it be a cross?.....Looks Call to me?.....explain your situation better....

I have possible Call crosses? .... Although hard to tell....My pure eggs have not hatched yet....

It was from a batch of mixed shipped fertile duck eggs I bought they were all supposed to be standard size. So I put them all in the incubator and when they hatched I had this one really tiny baby. I don't mind I think it's the most beautiful one out of all our ducks just was worried that the others might grow too big for it and pick on it because it's so small. So far I have 6 adult ducks and was expanding my group and now I have 1 7 week old, 4 3week olds, 5 2week olds,5 one week olds and 5 eggs still in the bator I just want it to be OK and happy.

you should ask the person you got them from what breeds they have and see what the possibilities are

I have asked them and they could be either runners, pekin, Aylesbury, campbells, Welsh Harlequin,but that's all they came back with.

Then it's probably a mix of some of those or it is one of those / and is just a runt

looks like a normal duckling to me, just a little on the small size.

That's great thanks for all your help im just new to hatching ducks and was worried about it's size but if it can be normal to have so much difference that's great I can stop worrying about it and enjoy them all.

Keep posting pics as it grows - I want to see what it looks like as it gets bigger. (Also I'm addicted to ducklings. And ducks too.)

I will do I am the same with ducklings now I hatched my first one 7 weeks ago and now at the last count I have 15 all from mixed eggs so can't wait till they feather and see what breed they are plus 5 black Cayuga eggs due to hatch in the next 2-3 days.
