Is there anything Chickens shouldn't eat??

Is there any thing you shouldn't feed chickens. We have given them some veggie peelings they ranaround with them but I don't know if they ate them.....

I have had a man tell me that his wife fed leftover biscuits to their chickens and it killed everyone of them. I've also heard bread will kill them because the yeast will expand in their crop. I consider myself to be a new comer to the joyful world of chickens, so I can't pass on to much advice! I do pay attention to what others have to say and the hard lessons that they have has to learn though!

hmmm my flocks fav treat is bread

they have been eating it for months - not everyday but once or twice a week I go in the run with a few slices of bread and make little bread balls they love them and will eat them out of my hand.

So is it okay to feed bread and biscuits to the chickens? I mean, my goodness! Sometimes I have to scratch my head about all these old farmers around here. I take their advice ASSUMING that they know what they are talking about. I guess not anymore!

i sure hope that it was the mold that was building in the biscuit and not the biscuit itself. Gives a whole new meaning to "those are some killer biscuits"
