Is there anything I can do for a rooster with an injured tongue?

As crazy as this sounds, I think my rooster may have gotten his tongue stuck to the metal fence yesterday. Arkansas is having a lot of unusually cold weather, and I didn't realize that metal wire or metal feed containers in the run would be a problem. (I know it was cold enough for skin to stick to metal because I almost got my hand stuck to the latch on the chicken house door.) He isn't eating or drinking today and his beak has some dried blood on it. I see blood on the wire as well. I thought yesterday he got into a fight through the wire with another rooster (it's happened before) but only he is bloody, and his comb and waddle aren't injured like one would expect to see from a fight. Is there anything I can do to help him eat? I'm sure this is painful, but he needs to eat and drink. I've offered cut up grapes and he will get excited (the usual chirping and little dance he does when I offer a treat) and pick it up, and then immediately drop it again.

Do you have any pictures of the inside of his beak? I would offer wet chicken feed out of a container which might help him eat a bit easier.
I don't have photos at the moment but I might be able to get some in a bit.

I'll try that, thanks! So maybe also canned corn would be okay too? (Whole kernel not cream-style because of the sugar, or would cream-style be okay in this instance just to get something down him?)

I'll try him on the food options tomorrow. I have beef wet cat food and salmon. I'm not sure my conscience would be okay with me feeding him chicken. 😆 😂 😅

Here are the best photos we took, but he wouldn't let me open his mouth. I'll try again tomorrow if I can do it without causing him pain. :)

Update - he's eating mashed potatoes with wet chicken feed mixed in, and some cream-style corn. He wasn't a huge fan of the cat food but he nibbled at that too. He seems to be doing much better. <3
