IS there anything you shouldn't feed chickens?

No citrus fruit, Like Oranges, Mangos, things like that. It can slow down the egg production. Also don't feed them eggshells or egg yolk it can make them turn into to cannibalism on there own eggs.

Potatoes are FINE for chickens...
Its the GREEN potato peels that have a toxin in them.... people and animals shouldnt eat them....
But regular potatoes and potato peels are FINE for birds...
Just make sure there is NO GREEN on the potato.

Avocados are something you don't want to feed. My girls have done just fine with fresh green beans, and I give them the occasional baked potato, but uncooked is a problem for them. I've heard all kind of comments about feeding fruit slowing down egg production, but mine get fruit, and there doesn't seem to be a slow-up. I have not given them citrus, however.

no Avacados, I feed mine their own eggshells insted of oyster shell. I cook them to dry them out first though.

No, I think fruit is good for them. I feed mine fruit but never citrus fruit.

My dad dumped half a bag of tortilla chips in the chicken pen once. I was worried about the salt, but he said they will live and looked at me like I was just being paranoid. Well, they lived, but I don't think it was very good for them.

My chickens LOVE spaghetti noodles, and OH how funny to see them eat them - they suck them up just like we humans do (meaning the long noodles)
