Hello,
I have had ducks for a few years now, and every year my female black Swedish tries to sit on eggs. Last year I continuously took them away but this year I decided to let her sit.
She has been sitting since the middle of April and for some reason must be sitting on new eggs all the time because none of them have hatched. They are just eggs from all my other ducks. Which is what we let her hatch a. Few years ago. I've candled them before and they won't be developing. She moves her nest in the coop ALL the time
I am just curious is there something wrong with my eggs? I have 2 drakes and I know these eggs are fertile. What does she do with the eggs that just disappear?
