i purchased 2 african and 2 white chinese gosling from metzer farms.com the one african pulled all the fur around the one white chinese goslings neck. she is completely bold around her neck now. he tryed doing it to the others also. this gosling just seems so aggressive. i hold him and he is fine. i have seperated him from the rest since. i have watched him and i think there is something neurological wrong. he bobs his head with his beak or mouth open almost like he is catching bugs and he does it constantly. i have for alot of years raised older geese and purchased them as adults. i have no exsperience with goslings. my question is is this normal behavior? i am very worried

some are feather eaters, you just have to work through it by seperating them. the open mouth can be many things, first thing is they HAVE to have deep water to clean their nares out all day long. Something could be stuck and its trying to get it out.
