is there such a thing as a coop raising party?

I have been to a barn raising party before, does it have a poultry equivalent? As one who is always in the middle of working on a coop, the idea of a get together to make sure it happens in a timely manner (with accompanying networking) seems a good idea. Is there a precedent?

I tried to have a coop raising party but everyone thought I was joking, or something...

Last time the band came I had them help move the duck enclosure. Maybe that is why we never have band practice at my house anymore.

Musicians, they'll do anything for a free meal, except actual work.
