My flock free rangers for a couple of hours every afternoon/evening. It has been rather dry here but we have gotten some rain over the past week. Yesterday we got about 1.5 inches and when I went to release the chickens there were grubs EVERYWHERE in the yard. Well of course the chickens were running around scarfing them up. I bet they probably got 20+ grubs a piece.... a little to late to ask but is this ok? They can't overeat can they? I have to say they seemed like happy chickens after that!

They are omnivores and will eat as much as they can of things they think are good. And grubs are tasty. I wouldn't worry about it. Good protein source.
