Is there such thing as an albino chicken?

    As stated in the otherl thread, these are not albino chicks, due to yellow beaks and legs. They have pigment. They are similar to "perlino" horses...very dilute...or as someone in the other thread mentioned, dominant white which can dilute the eye color. They are interesting looking but not albino.

    There are actually 4 different albino threads; sure wish they could be consolidated into one. I posted some links on one of them. There are various forms of albinism in chickens; most do not have complete lack of pigment.

    What about albino eggs? My Rhode island is a year and 4 months old they have been laying for almost a year. The other day she layed an egg before 8am and it was white. It looked as if it had some sight coloring but mostly white

    This yellow chick was surpose to be brown so im guessing incomplete albino

    I took eggs from my French black copper marans (the only kind of chicken I own) and hatched 54 chicks. One of these chicks is all white. I haven't checked eye color though.
