Is there such thing as mild sour crop?

I’m new… I’m trying lol. Went to the run to add water, saw one of my girls (15 weeks) pushing her neck in. I watched her for a second she was walking around and everything seemed relatively normal minus her neck. She was eating and drinking. Grabbed her and felt her crop was squishy. I massaged and fluid came out of her mouth… not sure if it stinks or not. I’m was her, she’s acting much better now. But I’ve put her in the bathroom in the dark with some water with ACV. Do I keep her inside? Do I let her back out? She is acting totally normal now and there is no more fluid.

It could have just been something she ate that caused sort of an upset crop issue. You lightened it up by pushing fluid out.

I'd give her/them some probiotics or probiotic powder in their water. That will help rid bad bacteria in their digestive systems.

Here's two excellent articles about crop issues in case you feel you want to learn more:

Thank you! Do you think I should separate her? Or just let her back out with the other girls?

Very welcome!

If she is eating, drinking, and getting around normally, I'd put her back out with the girls.
She’s beginning to act lethargic? I don’t know if it’s because I have her in the dark or not. When I hold her she’s calm (not her usual self) when I try to set her down her feet are so limp. I took her outside on my deck to kind of see how she’d act. She can stand but she just stands there, when she’s back in the bathroom she lays down.. I’m not trying to bother her but want her to be okay!

Hmm, I guess I'd try pump her up with the probiotics, vitamins, and some nutritious treat like scrambled eggs and see how she does. When I make mash out of their food by adding water to it in a dish, my hens think that's a treat too.

Maybe you best keep her in another day but sometimes they can become stressed or depressed being without their flock, which can add to it.
