My Australorp cockerel (hatched late feb.) has a much more obvious comb than his "sisters" and his wattles have started growing in. I'm no expert, but yours looks more like my pullets than my cockerel. I'm surprised it's hard to handle her. Mine (including roo) are very docile, which is supposed to be a characteristic of the breed.
