Is this 12-on/12-off a fairly dummy-proof schedule for CX?

Hey folks, we are working on our first batch of CX. We moved them from the brooder to the tractors we built just over a week ago. While in the brooder they had access to dry starter 24/7 with fermented feed throughout most of every day. We decided on 12/12 once moved outside primarily due to the simplicity of not having to track feed consumption and to better ensure they don't grow dangerously fast.

When we moved them to the tractor we started pulling the dry feed buckets at night. Currently these 60 CX at just shy of 4 weeks old will go through 2.5G of very thick FF by mid afternoon in addition to whatever they forage and eat from the dry feed bucket. I just keep upping the FF amount to ensure they have it throughout the majority of the day with the dry feed as backup until evening when we pull it. This seems to be working and we haven't lost any yet. No feed or water is accessible while laying down. I'd say 2/3 are pretty active, the rest act like its spring break and just want to lounge around most of the time. Currently we are moving the tractor every 2 days, we'll likely start moving them once a day next week.

Onward into the second half of their 8 week cycle does it make sense for us to simply stick to the above from a feed standpoint?

Oh sorry @Molpet, we’d never pull water! I should have mentioned that. They have 12G coolers feeding plasson bulbs in each tractor. It’s the dry feed we pull at night, by afternoon they’ve already gone through the fermented feed batch.
