Is this 14-15 week old Red Comet ready to lay?? (pic)

Her comb is getting bigger and turning bright red! Is she guna lay soon? When should I introduce the nest boxes?

She looks just like one of our GCs. One started laying at 17 weeks, and two still have not at 18. The comb and wattles look like ours did at 16 weeks. It will be soon, but have patience. it could be a few more weeks. Once you see them squatting then you are getting really close.

one of my hens looks just like this one (she's almost 15 weeks), and has been doing the squat thing all week....i just found her first egg in the coop this evening while going to refill the water! it's so early i don't even have the laying boxes attached yet! i'm completely new to this, but if i were to guess i would say you're close.
