is this a black copper maran rooster?

Just wonder if you guys this this is a black copper maran or just a mutt.
Was looking for a maran rooster that has better color then the one I have over my hens.
Collected this one from the local zoo here

I'm hesitant as well. Thought about trying him over the hens and hatch out some chicks and see what comes out. Not easy to get another rooster and I hate the color of the one I have right now.

He looks like a fbcm, but not the best example I've ever seen. Seems overly orange, and his legs seem awfully short.

I'm with the group--he's probably a bcm, but he's nowhere near breeding quality. I think he has way too much color/leakage, his legs are too short, and he seems very light bodied. I'd keep looking, myself.

I have 2 asian roosters I got from Tractor Supply..The don't crow, yet.And they are shy.They are bigger than my hens.And my hens bully them..

His body type is way off. I believe he's a mix and I wouldn't breed from him.
