Is this a blackhead? Pimple? I have no clue!

I’ve had Ginger since she was a day old chick from Mcmurray’s & I always noticed this tiny brown dot that she had in the same exact place on her nose as this bump, but it looked nothing more than a freckle. Now it’s grown fairly big. When I study it, it looks like it might have a small pin hole directly in the middle, & I think I can see brown coloring underneath. I don’t want to start squeezing & popping something before I know it’s safe (I LOVE popping gross things like this, FYI).

Has anyone ever seen this before? Doesn’t seem like it’s some sort of disease, none of my other girls have it. She doesn’t act lethargic, there’s no swelling, pus, etc. I’ve posted pics of her from when she was a pullet where you can see this brown spot up until now. I’d say it’s gotten slightly bigger. When I get home I’ll take a pic of how it looks right now & post it, I wanted to get a thread started asking for help before I forgot about it.

Thanks in advance for anyone who can help or advise me with this. 😊

first picture is when it was nothing more than a freckle, up until how it appeared a couple of weeks ago. It’s bigger now I think, but like I said above, I’ll grab a picture from today once I’m home.

Those type bumps can appear sometimes on the top of the beak. Sometimes they can be from poking the beak through fencing, a peck, or if more appear, you could be dealing with fowl pox virus. Some have been thought to be caused by a papillovirus and may drop off. I would probably watch it.

Thanks for your response, & I apologize for my late response. Had a different hen with impacted crop that I was working with & lead me to forget about this post that I made.
I’m definitely keeping an eye on it. I thought it was an injury due to the hardware cloth or something but it hasn’t changed at all. Hasn’t gotten bigger & hasn’t shrunk at all. It’s odd because that’s the speck she had there as a chick that never seemed bothersome, & is now the inflated to this large bump.

In my first group of chicks, one had something like this next to her eye. It was how I could tell her from the others. Then one day, it was gone. I never found the little scabby thing , so I didn't get a close look at it.
So strange! She’s had a tiny freckle thing in that same spot ever since she was a chick. Almost like a blackhead that humans get that has grown large, possibly full of gunk?? It doesn’t seem to stop her from doing her thing but it doesn’t look like it’s going anywhere any time soon.
