Is this a blue wyandotte chick?

I have a one-week old chick that I got from a bin at the local farm store labeled wyandottes, and then a list of possible colors. Is this indeed a Wyandotte, and what color is it? Blue? I am a little skeptical because blue wyandottes are supposed to be rare, but am not sure because while I have hens of many other breeds, I do not have any wyandottes. Thank you in advance for any help.

Hmmm. Honestly, it looks like both. It would be AMAZING if it was a blue Wyandotte but it looks more like a blue australorp. Just wait and see when it gets more of his feathers in. He is gonna be beautiful when they are older. They are so cute now!!!

It is possible that you have a blue Wyandotte. They are rare but some hatcheries carry them.

yes, I thought that's what they said, oops.. blue Wyandotte s don't really have that patter though, right? It looks just like a blue Australorp chick

Well there’s one way to tell for sure, it should be a Wyandotte if it has a rosecomb.
