Is this a Brahma rooster?

Easter Egger has become a broad term for any bird that may have the blue egg gene somewhere in their past.
Throw in a bird with a beard and Easter Egger really sounds fitting.
I can't see enough of the red bird to see if it has any saddle feathers but the darker red on the shoulders really hints towards it being a cockerel too.
The red bird was a freebie from the hatchery so I knew most likely a boy. Also the biggest comb in the group so far.
Will this Easter Egger boy be able to create more EE babies with the EE hens or do they not breed true like that? I was really just looking to add some variety to my egg colors by choosing them but this could be a fun project too.

What color egg did your cockeral hatch from? If not blue or green he is not going to add a blue gene to the eggs. The puffy cheeks may have come from an EE parent, but he is a mix.

He could have hatched from a brown egg but gotten one blue egg gene from his father.
There's really no way of knowing unless he's tested for it or used for testing breeding.

I'd say he's guaranteed to not be a pure bred.
He's huge and the feathered feet? I think mix seems likely. The mix I bought had BCM and EE and other things. The seller was terrible so who knows if anything she said was accurate. I was actually just surprised the one egg out of fifteen hatched!
