I'm so stressed cause I know something is wrong and I don't know how to fix it. I know something is wrong with the wing but I don't know what to do. I have felt all over it for any signs of heat in it and there isn't. What do I do? How can they break them? Guess I'm crazy, but I'm also crazy in love with my critters too! Thanks for any help!

Sorry! I just now got a chance to sit down here and see what's going on. SpottedCrow it is just the one wing. I don't know if this is a he or she but anyhow it flaps it just fine and I dont feel any breaks. It eats, drinks and swims just fine. Thanks for your help!
Chickemee Thanks for your time and advice-I just can't afford the vet if I could find one to see a Goose.

Hi,
I've read about that condition before. I think it's called "Angel wing" and it's caused by too much protein in the diet (I think...if I remember correctly). Google "angel wing in geese" and see if you think that might be what's causing it. Hope this helps!

I am pretty sure angle wing was the problem with the primary feathers that become twisted out at the last joint due to fast growth. Maybe she dislocated her shoulder some how or lost the use of one of her muscles holding her whole wing up.

Your goosie looks older than mine--but when mine were about 4 weeks old, it was like their wings and feathers were growing so fast, that it was hard for their little muscles to keep up, so they would often just let their wings droop, then re-settle them.

Have you checked around her ribcage? Perhaps she bruised something under her wing, and is trying to hold it away for that reason.

If you cannot find any, then maybe just construct a sling for her to wear for a couple of weeks...does she ever do that stretchy-thing where she sticks out her wing along her leg?

birdlover , silkiechicken, dlhunicorn , DoctorGoose thank yall so much! I don't know what to think!

The more I read the more it fits but her feathers on bottom don't twist out like it says. The books I read before the ducks and geese got here said to feed chick starter just like with chicks, but all the info about angel wing says too much protien is what causes the condition

Now I feel like a idiot and my poor goose has to suffer because of it! My Geese and ducks are 17 weeks old today.
