is this a broody hen?

My serama has been spending alot of time in the nest lately. I went to move the nest a little and she pecked at my hand! She is never like that. Normally she lays an egg and she's out. Should i put a couple of eggs under her butt?

Go out at night and see if she roosts with the others if she does she is not broody, just testing the waters.

Yep! Sounds like it....she will ruffle up her feathers and make a growling sound. You throw her off the nest and she waits for you to move and she just gets back on there again. Those Serama girls are bent and determined when they set their minds to it!! Once you do determine she is...yes, put that girl to use!

Check her tonight. If she's on the roost after dark, place some eggs under that little broody thing!
