I got this chick at 5 weeks old and named her Cadbury (to go with my other chocolate-theme named chicks

The woman I got her from was not 100% on her breed, but claimed she hatched from a blue egg that came from a farm with multiple breeds including Cream Legbars. She was pretty confident that it is a pullet and I think so too, but just wanted to see if anybody could confirm the breed for me. She seems to have the right coloring of a Cream Legbar, but no crest to speak of and from what I've seen she also looks similar to a Welsummer. Can CLs develop a crest later on? Or can some CLs not display a crest at all? I'm hoping there is a way to tell without having to wait until she lays a blue or brown egg! Either way she is a total sweetheart

Here's Cadbury on her first night in her new home at ~5 wks old:

And feeling a little more confident at 6 1/2 wks:

Do these funny feathers sticking up above her nares count as a crest?

Is there supposed to be more cream outside the head/hackles area? Or do u mean the lighter coloring she has there is not light enough? I just got her for eggs and a pet so I don't mind if she's not up to standards :)

I mean her color is wrong for a cream legbar. She's more partridge or wild-type based.

Cream Legbar are wild-type, sex linked barred, and carry the cream gene.

Yes uncrested CL do exist but that is incorrect and not to standard. CL should be crested. Uncrested CL should not be bred forward. CL will not grow their crests later, often you can see the crest start to develop by 2weeks of age. Your chick is not crested.

I agree with the others that she doesn't appear to be Cream Legbar, at least not pure.

If you can post back with more pics of her in a few more weeks.

Thank you for the very informative response Chicken Pickin! I will definitely post more pics as she gets older so you can see what she grows into :)
