i've been incubating this muscovy duck egg for 15 days now can anyone tell me if this is a fetus inside the egg?

I don't see any veins, at 15 days they should still be clearly visible. is it just not picking up in the camera or are there no veins. also at 15 days when you candle them they wiggle all over the place...is it moving? or when you turn the egg does it more like slosh from one side to the other..with out veins i'd say it was a fetus but it is not alive anymore but i don't want to be hasty until you can tell me the answers to the questions to say for sure.

I agree at 15 days you should see veins and movement. Compare it to the others. It could be a quitter. Couldn't hurt to give it a couple more days. If it is unchanged i would crack it open and confirm

i candled it at 7 days and didn't see veins or anything so i left it and now it has changed a lot i can see a couple of veins in it and i'm pretty sure i saw it moving a little bit i hope it hasn't died i will leave it anyway and wait and see

I have noted that the mallard duck that I had in the incubator took more time to hatch than it is stated is the average time for ducks. Please just put this egg back in the incubator and leave it for another 5-7 days. What you are looking at there is a developing duck. If it were dead the inside would be black. If it is not black then the duck is still alive and is taking its time. Breeder of birds for 5 years.

alright awesome thanks i definitely will keep it in the incubator and apparently it usually takes muscovy ducks around 33 days to hatch so im going to leave it for 20 more days
