He's a little light, but if you got him from a breeder he very well may be. If he came from a random source he just might be an attractive mutt.

thanks for your info....yes the guy is a breeder of marans but didn't know what he had a BTBM until he researched it out himself. So I just wanted to make sure before I bought some BTBM hens to go with him. I wonder where he bought his stock? Hopefully he is a true maran.
